KA East Pearl was first operated in 1972 by offering economy class and business services. Since the date of 7 April 1996 launched a new service to replace the business and executive class. The train was deliberately re-design to their pemerjalan businesses and executives who want a trip to Bali Island and vice versa. Cross Surabaya - Banyuwangi to the distance traveled 307 miles in about 6 hours and 30 minutes.

In its journey, the train with a capacity of 360 seats consist of two executive-class trains and 4 of this business-class train station stop at Sidoarjo, Bangil, Probolinggo, Embankment, Rambipuji, Jember, Kalisat, Kalibaru and Rogojampi. For passengers who will go on from Banyuwangi to Denpasar and vice versa provided the executive buses as part of the overall service provided by PT. Kereta Api (Persero). Every day there are two alternative train journey from Surabaya - Banyuwangi and the reverse direction with a schedule of departure in the morning and evening.
